About Me
I live in Manhattan, New York and I am a Certified Ecobroker. My main interest is the environment, the future of our planet and how we can live and work in a sustainable world. I consult with people who want to create a healthier lifestyle in their personal and professional environment.
I spent three years in Park City, where I first learned about the effect of climate change. Utah is the second driest state in the US and water is a concern. With the current climate considerations, I became passionate about our environment. I volunteered on the water, environmental issues and Recycle Utah committees. I attended green
home tours and accredited workshops and lectures.
I was the designated real estate agent at Newpark Town Center which is a mixed-use development project in Park City, Utah. Currently, this residential and commercial space, is a registered LEED Pilot Project. The center is interested in a LEED Gold level community certification. The Swaner Ecocenter, encompasses 2100 acres of private and protected land, which rests on the site. The nature center has achieved LEED Platnium Level New Construction Certification.
I attended the annual Ecobroker Conference held in Denver. Ecobrokers, from all over the world, gathered to learn from leading experts about current affairs in the environmental field.
The Department of Energy,
Energy Star and LEED experts were amoung the panel speakers. In addition, I attended the annual Bioneers Conference. This organization brings together major companies to address how industries may adapt ‘greener’ business models in our current economic, social and political climate. Businesses include Interface Inc., EarthEcho International and REDOIL Network.
Currently, in Manhattan, I spend most of my time networking in the environmental field and researching current affairs in sustainability. I am a member of Urban Green, EGB, The Nature Conservancy and other organizations that support environmental policy. I volunteer as much as possible on topics such as green building, food security and sustainble best practices. In my opinion, education is the best way to learn about today’s emerging green business. I am interested to partner with experts that support accredited sustainable practices within public, private sectors and at home.
I love to ski, run marathons and participate in triathlons. I was born and raised in and around Manhattan. I support the need for Environmental awarness in this Metropolis and I live in this great city.
